Laminated over the top plate and rakes with it. Leave at 0 if there isn't one. Studs are unaffected either way — it lifts the top of the wall, not the frame.

Stud cutting list

Studs are cut plumb where they meet a level member and bevelled where they meet a raked one. Short point is the downhill face, long point the uphill face — mark the short point and cut through to the long point.

Sheets are measured from the floor to the top of the top plate — or to the top of the ribbon plate where one is used — and cut to the rake at the top; the length shown is the long point.

Timber order

Cut plan uses first-fit-decreasing packing. Lintels, sills and plates are listed separately and are not packed — they're usually a different section.
